Reports To : Managing Director

Main Responsibilities Functions of Job:

Responsible and accountable for supporting the sales team on all the products within the company's portfolio. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting sales consultants with customer queries and quotes

• Capturing inbound sales requests on the company CRM system as “Leads”.

• Updating sales related databases and compiling reports for our OEM suppliers.

• Contributing to the implementation of the necessary processes, systems and controls required to manage and measure the air compressor business in the territory.

• The acquisition of a new customer base and building continue relationship with these and existing customers in the area.

• Assisting with special projects as part of new orders and business development.

• Opening of new customer accounts (credit apps)

• Ensure the processes for mandatory certification are followed. (SANS 347 – vessels under pressure.)

You will also be expected to: 

1.1 Devote all your time and attention during normal business working hours and such reasonable amount of additional time as may be necessary, having regard to the demands of the business of the Company.

1.2 At all times faithfully, promptly and punctually carry out and perform all your duties as may conform with your position or with such duties or functions that may be delegated or assigned to you on behalf of the Directors or by your superior.

1.3 Generally, use your best endeavours properly to conduct, improve, extend, develop and protect the business and interest of the company, in order to preserve its reputation and goodwill.

1.4 Submit to the Directors or your immediate superior such information as may be required in connection with the business or affairs of the company.

Required Skills and Capabilities:

Computer literacy.

Interpersonal skills to work with customers, colleagues, suppliers and to work closely as part of the team.

The ability to plan and prioritise work in accordance with business requirements.

Educational Qualification :

Grade 12 : Experience in a similar role will be beneficial.
